Saturday Sesh

Not getting in the water as much as I would want to, but when I do, it feels so good. What do these Hawaiian stone formations mean?  They look spiritual though.

Stand Up Paddle

Shane did the Hawaii Kai to Waikiki Stand up division in the Dukes Ocean Fest. I have no idea on the design of these 12 - 14' boards. Look at that huge tail block!  And how does this "ninja" fin work?

Weekend Warriors

Just a few guys out enjoying an uncrowded lineup.

Ala Moana Beachpark

There were no waves so I didn't think to take any pictures, but it isn't often that I come to Ala Moana beach and I just wanted to show that we live in a beautiful place, so every chance we get to enjoy Hawaii we should take advantage of it.

Visit to Jeannie Chesser's workplace

Fortunate to have Jeannie Chesser airbrush my boards my boards because she her attitude is just as colorful as her paints.  All you have to do is start a conversation and you will know what I mean.
A couple of decals on her car.

Visit to Schaper Surfboards

I took a drive to Waialua to check out Carl Schaper's factory. He is best known for making longboards for World Champion Bonga Perkins.  His glasser (in the background) is Charlie Walker another well known name in the surfboard industry.  We talked for 3 hours about the surfboard industry and I think we are still trying to come up with answers on how to make and sell more surfboards.

Visit to Volcom

 Kinda looks like propaganda.
Full on skatepark in the warehouse
Not your everyday art lining the walls.
