Better than nothing

Today was better than nothing. Its good to get wet after work. Remember, there are other surfers in Japan and all over the world that can't surf right now. I am so thankful to be able to go surfing, even with below average conditions. Take care everybody!

Wind = Waves Sandy Beach

Green tea Kit Kats

30 MPH Winds

Its been windy for the past 2 weeks. Therefore not too much surfing. I think Waikiki to Kewalos is okay, because its straight offshore, but not where I would like to surf. Check out the trees blowing and the sand is moving right up the beach and making it all smooth.

Aloha for Japan

I picked up some Aloha for Japan shirts from the Information shop in Ward Warehouse. These shirts are a great way to give a donation and show your support to help everyone in Japan. Its great to see these shirts selling out everyday! Information, Butigroove, Fitted Hawaii, and Barefoot League get new shipments daily, and I think they will keep on producing them as long as Hawaii keeps buying them and giving some Aloha to Japan! Go to www.go-naminori.com for more information on store location and hours and how to get yours!

Seth's Birthday at Ice Palace

Seth's birthday was back in February, but only now we had the chance to celebrate. He wanted to go to the Ice Palace, Hawaii's only ice skating rink. Mia used the trainer for a little bit and then was able to go onto the regular rink holding my hand. Seth is pretty good. His friends got the hang of it really fast too. Everyone had a great time!

Graduation Day

Seth gets to move on to 5th grade Japanese.

Rainbow Gakuen graduation day for Mia. They had a ceremony at Kaimuki High School. Mia and Seth are learning how to write, read, and speak Japanese.

Strange days

I was fortunate that my friends and family in Japan were not drastically affected by the earthquake and tsunami that hit Sendai, Japan. At the local beach, it was strange to see alot of bigger rocks in the middle of the beach where there normally would be all sand. And the water level was at its lowest, even at high tide. Lets all pray for everyone that needs help in Japan.

New Flavor

Pina Colada in a can, but there is no alcohol. This is the first time I drank this flavor from Aloha Maid. It was pretty good.
