New Year's Eve

New Years Eve 2010. John was first in the water and was treated to a beautiful sunrise.
New board coming soon. In the meantime, Brian is still ripping on 3/4 of a board.

Brian's wave.. you can stop watching after the camera goes underwater.

Joe's wave... I think I fell off my board and into the water after this wave.

2 More Days Until New Years Eve

We're ready for New Year's Eve. This year will be kind of special because in the state of Hawaii, it will be the last time for public use of fireworks so everyone is buying alot and making it like a grand finale. When Seth and Mia grow up and have kids, they may not know what it was like to play with sparklers and light up fountains. Just like they don't know what its like to light up aerials, rockets, and roman candles like when I was younger.

Christmas Morning Surf

Jason Pack is a valet at the Waikiki Sheraton and a very good surfer. This was the only water shot that I got. Everytime I was going to take a picture, I missed a wave. So I decided to surf more instead.
Sunrise on Christmas morning 2010.

John got everyone together for a dawn patrol. The crew was John, Jason, Brian, Joe, and me. We were in the water before 7 am. By the time I got home at 9 am, the kids already had all of their presents opened. Merry Christmas everybody!

The weather has been pretty bad lately. The rain has slowed down, but its still raining. And now its humid, and muggy. You can hardly see the Koolau mountains in Kaneohe.

Heres a few more photos at Off the Wall. Brighten up the gloomy rainy day with some awesome waves. Look at the top picture- the photographers are all pointing to Pipeline while a great ride is happening right in front of them.

Island tour

Chun's Reef

Driving around the island and came up to this beach park in Waimanalo. It was later in the afternoon and the local bruddahs were cooking up their catch of the day. This canoe was filled with water from the last few days of heavy rain. The rock walls in the water have a nice sand bottom that everyone comes here to swim in.

Hula and Band

Seth and Mia had a performance to show what they have been learning at school. Mia was pretty good at the hula. And overall the band di well also.
Looks like Seth has been learning a little technical aspects of drawing.
